'Sunrise EPSi' is an Allscripts software program which "provides integrated analytics, budgeting and knowledge-based decision support designed to bring together all the major components of financial management - strategic planning, product line budgeting, cost accounting, and operational and capital budgeting." The software allows the capture and use of patient-level utilization data for forecasting and variance reporting, then converts those to standard general ledger (GL) and payroll budgets. The system gives hospital finance departments the ability to report at both product line and GL levels.
